Amit Rakhit, MD, MBA is the Chief MEdical Officer at BlueRock Therapeutcs. He is an accomplished pharmaceutical and biotechnology executive with extensive experience leading the development of innovative medicines across oncology, neurology, rare diseases, and cardiovascular conditions. He is particularly focused on building bridges between biotechnology, digital health, and patient communities to better address unmet medical needs.

He has held multiple C-suite leadership roles guiding organizations from early start-up through IPO and into fully operating companies. Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer of Flare Therapeutics and previously served as CEO of Sporos Bioventures. He was also President and Chief Medical Officer at Ovid Therapeutics, where he joined at inception and helped lead the company through its IPO and pipeline expansion.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Rakhit held senior leadership roles at Biogen, including Head of Worldwide Medical, leading a global organization of approximately 800 professionals across multiple therapeutic areas, and at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he led international medical teams across 27 countries.

Dr. Rakhit completed fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital, earned his MD from Tufts University, a BA from University of California, Berkeley, and dual MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
